What are G restriction codes in Turkey (G-26, G-34, G-82, G-87, G-89)? Learn about deportation, entry bans, and annulment lawsuits within 60 days.

G restriction codes are imposed on foreign nationals who endanger general security and public order. These codes are applied when a foreign national is involved in a crime. There is a separate restriction code defined for nearly every type of offense. Based on these codes, a deportation decision may be issued against the foreign national. Additionally, these codes prevent the individual from entering the country.

Another legal remedy for removing a restriction code and the related entry ban is to file an annulment lawsuit. This lawsuit may be filed either without first applying to the administration or after such an application has been made.

The time limit for filing the lawsuit is 60 days from the date of notification of the decision. An appeal (regional appellate review) may be filed against the decision of the first-instance court within 30 days starting from the day following the notification.
